At Regents Garden, we have many activities that benefit from the assistance of volunteers such as providing friendship and companionship, supervising craft activities, assisting with cards or board games, providing entertainment with musical performances, sharing your time and skills, meditation and yoga, cooking activities, reading, letter-writing and just being there!

We greatly value community involvement in all our facilities. Volunteers require no qualifications other than a caring heart and are always warmly welcomed. You play a major role in this important and rewarding endeavour. The benefits for volunteers are also substantial as you develop new skills, form new friendships and gain the immense satisfaction that comes from helping others.

Many community groups provide invaluable assistance to our residents. Their visits provide companionship, entertainment, spiritual fulfilment and broadening interests.

Entities as diverse as Red Cross, religious groups, choirs and theatre groups lend their support. Groups representing different cultural backgrounds are also active participants. All these groups make possible additional outings, entertainment and trips for our older community members.

Regents Garden provides a collaborative learning, training and research environment to ensure the dissemination of best practice in the field of aged care. We assist students from a wide range of disciplines to gain experience under the guidance of their supervisors and the involvement of our staff.

At all our facilities, we provide placement for students of universities, TAFE colleges and other training colleges and also work experience placements for high school students.

Another benefit comes from putting your voluntary experience on your resume, as this demonstrates your commitment and dedication in the field of community services.
